“Cuentos de Camino (Tomo 1)” is an album by singer-songwriter Jeremías Lawson, with Hildemaro Álvarez serving as co-producer, arranger, orchestrator, and pianist on selected tracks. His contribution helped expand the project’s artistic language through an intimate, contemporary, and emotionally expressive musical approach.
The Approach:
The production was developed with a strong emphasis on the narrative of each song, preserving the authenticity of Jeremías’s songwriting while expanding its sonic world through arrangements specifically designed to support the character of each story. On some tracks, the energy of the rock band was enhanced with analog-inspired synthesizers, adding depth, character, and a more contemporary dimension to the sound. On others, a large string section was incorporated not as a decorative element, but as an emotional extension of the narrative—shaping nuance, tension, and moments of heightened sensitivity.
The result is a production in which instrumentation, orchestration, and sound design all serve the songs, allowing each piece to retain its own identity while remaining part of a cohesive and carefully crafted musical language.
OUTCOME & IMPACT
The album was released in February 2026 and was warmly received for the strength of its songwriting, the emotional depth of its songs, and the refinement of a production designed to elevate each story without compromising its essence.
