THE CREATIVE STORY
Historias was conceived as a project that could explore different languages within contemporary pop while preserving a recognizable artistic identity. Across the album, electropop, symphonic pop, Latin pop, funk, rap, EDM and ballad writing coexist, allowing each song to inhabit its own sonic world.
The creative challenge was to turn that diversity into a strength: giving every track its own character while establishing a musical thread capable of bringing continuity, cohesion and personality to the album as a whole.
The collaboration between Ricardo Malfatti and Hildemaro Álvarez also extended into songwriting, allowing the production process to develop from the origin of the songs themselves rather than beginning only with their sonic treatment.
The Approach
Hildemaro approached Historias through an integrated creative vision, bringing together music production, musical direction, arranging, orchestration, performance, programming and mixing within a unified framework.
Rather than homogenizing the album’s broad stylistic range, each song was developed around its own emotional and musical needs. Instrumentation, textures, dynamics and the relationship between acoustic, orchestral and electronic elements were shaped to give every track an individual personality without compromising the identity of the project as a whole.
This approach allowed the album to move naturally between intimate and symphonic moments and more rhythmically driven, electronic productions, while featured collaborations further expanded its expressive palette.
OUTCOME & IMPACT
The result is an album with a broad sonic palette in which every song retains its own identity while remaining connected to a shared artistic universe.
Historias turns the contrast between genres, instrumentation and collaborations into part of its narrative, creating a contemporary, expressive and cohesive production built around Ricardo Malfatti’s voice and artistic identity.

Produced and musically directed by Hildemaro Álvarez, who also contributed to the songwriting, arrangements, orchestration, piano, keyboards, programming and mixing of the project.
The album features collaborations with Luis Fernando Borjas, Samy Hawk and Aivy, alongside musicians and specialized professionals as Boris Milan and Nick Burchall who contributed to its broader instrumental and sonic palette.
